Use the Rates Exporter tab to set up the criteria for exporting tax
rate information. You can export rates at any time. You also can schedule
automatic exports on whatever schedule suits your needs.
Whether you set up a scheduled export or export instantly, the results
of the export will be sent to the email address indicated on the Setup
page.
There are three steps involved in exporting rates:
Select to use
either the State List or your
Favorites.
If you are using the
State List, select the states for which you want to export rates. To select
multiple states, hold the Ctrl
key while you click on each state name.
If you want to make sure
to include only cities with zip codes, select the check box.
Click the Save
Changes button.
Choosing the File Format
To choose the file format:
Select the
appropriate check box:
XLS
– Excel Spreadsheet
XML
– Extensible Markup Language
CSV
– Comma Separated Value
TXT
– Standard Export Format (text file)
Click the Save Changes button.
Scheduling the Export
To schedule a recurring export:
Select the
appropriate check box. For each choice, a different selection box appears.
Weekly
– This selection appears:
Monthly
– This selection appears:
Quarterly
– This selection appears:
Yearly – This selection appears:
Select the
appropriate additional information (day of the week, day of the month,
month and day of the quarter, or month and day of the year).
Click the Save
Changes button.
Exporting Instantly
At any time, you can export rates (according to your saved jurisdiction
and file format settings) by clicking the Export
Now link in the Schedule
Exports section of the page.
